Als Chief Medical and Research Officer übernehmen Sie die strategische und medizinisch-wissenschaftliche Leitung des Bereichs Medicine & Research, einschließlich Statistics, Translational Research und Data Management. Sie sind Mitglied des Executive Boards und berichten direkt an den CEO.

Komplexe klinische Daten und Forschungsergebnisse in umsetzbare Erkenntnisse zu übersetzen – und so Wissenschaft, Medizin und operative Exzellenz zu verbinden.

Ihre Aufgaben

Führen und entwickeln Sie die medizinisch-wissenschaftliche Gesamtstrategie der GBG – von der Studienidee bis zur klinischen Umsetzung.
Initiieren und gestalten Sie innovative Studienkonzepte, die neueste Erkenntnisse aus Data Analytics und translationaler Forschung integrieren.
Überwachen und evaluieren Sie laufende klinische Studien, sichern höchste Qualitätsstandards und fördern wissenschaftliche Exzellenz.
Arbeiten Sie eng mit den Bereichen Statistik, Data Management und translationaler Forschung zusammen, um evidenzbasierte Entscheidungen in Echtzeit zu ermöglichen.
Gestalten Sie gemeinsam mit der Geschäftsführung Strategien, die wissenschaftliche Wirkung, wirtschaftliche Stabilität und operative Effizienz verbinden.

Was Sie mitbringen

Ärztliche Approbation und mindestens 10 Jahre klinische Erfahrung, idealerweise im Bereich Onkologie oder verwandten Fachgebieten.
Mehrjährige Führungserfahrung in einem wissenschaftlich-medizinischen Umfeld (mind. 3 Jahre).
Nachgewiesene Erfahrung in der Entwicklung medizinischer Standards, Richtlinien und Qualitätsprozesse.
Strategisches, analytisches und unternehmerisches Denken – mit Blick für Innovation und praktische Umsetzbarkeit.
Exzellente Kommunikations- und Führungskompetenz in einem internationalen Umfeld (Deutsch und Englisch fließend).

Your role

As Chief Medical and Research Officer, you will take on the role of providing strategic and medical-scientific leadership for the Medicine & Research division, which includes the Statistics, Translational Research and Data Management departments. You will sit on the Executive Board and report directly to the CEO.

Your mission

Translate complex clinical data and research findings into actionable insights, thereby connecting science, medicine, and operational excellence.

Your tasks

Lead and develop GBG's overall medical and scientific strategy – from study concept to clinical implementation.
• Initiate and design innovative study concepts that integrate the latest findings from data analytics and translational research.
• Monitor and evaluate ongoing clinical studies to ensure the highest quality standards and promote scientific excellence.
• Work closely with the statistics, data management and translational research departments to enable evidence-based decisions in real time.
• Work with management to develop strategies that combine scientific impact, economic stability and operational efficiency.

What you bring to the table

• A medical licence and at least 10 years' experience in a clinical role, ideally in oncology or a related field.
• Several years of management experience in a scientific or medical environment (at least three years).
• Proven experience in developing medical standards, guidelines and quality processes.
• Ability to think strategically, analytically and entrepreneurially, with an eye for innovation and practical feasibility.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills in an international environment (fluency in German and English required).
